Harmony Day

Last week Wattle Grove celebrated Harmony Day with a parade of students dressed in National Costume and a Bollywood Dance performance from a Year 4 class!
Students at Wattle Grove speak 35 different languages and half of them have been born out of Australia or have a parent who has, so we are a very multi-cultural school. It was lovely to celebrate this with our buddy class, where we did a Harmony Day activity and tasted some foods from other cultures.

Talk to Teach

This week we have had our "Talk to Teach" presentations. The children gave a short presentation teaching the class how to make or do something. We have learned about many different topics including cooking, craft, dance, art, language, sport, science, mathematics, karate, brain teasers, card tricks, and cultural customs.

Everyone did a fantastic job, giving and following clear oral instructions and explaining each step of the process.
Well done Room 28!
