Welcome to Room 28, Year 3

Diorama Project

Last week we videoed our virtual tours of our dioramas. It was so wonderful to see all of the hard work everyone put into this project! This was a great opportunity for students to express their knowledge of living and non-living things. We are very lucky to have such wonderful support from our families in Room 28! We invite all parents and families to come and have a look at our diorama display.

Senior Assembly Term 2

Congratulations to our Merit Certificate recipients from our last Senior Assembly. You are all very deserving of your acknowledgements. Isabelle, Ron Ron and Natalia received our class awards, Scarlet received an Italian award from Seniora Isaia, and we won the class award for Sport from Miss Oliver. We also had a number of students awarded for their achievements with Literacy Pro. It is wonderful to see so many students passionate about reading in Room 28. Keep up the great work!

WE LOVE WA

Students from WGPS brought in photographs of themselves in different locations around Western Australia as part of our celebration of WA Day. The photographs were glued onto the large lettering which can be found in the alcove of Block 4.

National Simultaneous Storytime

This year, our school took part in a National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday the 23rd of May.
Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
This event aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, the value and fun of books, and an Australian children's writer and publisher. This year's book was Hickory Dickory Dash written by Tony Wilson and illustrated by Laura Wood.
