On Thursday
the 16th of August, all Year 3 students from Wattle Grove Primary
School participated in an incursion with the Welshpool Fire Brigade. The
firefighters spoke about fire prevention around the home, safety precautions
that should be taken, what to do in case of an emergency, gave us an overview
of their duties and showed us various pieces of equipment they use. All
students thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learnt many quick and simple
catch phrases like “Keep a metre from the heater”. Be sure to speak with your
child about what they have learnt, and enjoy looking at these photographs taken
on the day.
