Super Scientist
This week we are conducting our Super Scientist Presentations. Our aim
is for students to develop a passion for science, while encouraging the
children to learn more about the natural world. All students are to
research a scientific concept or idea, and deliver this to an
audience. They may choose to conduct an experiment or give
a report on their concept. Congratulations to Tuesday’s scientists,
you have all done a fantastic job.
WA Day
Every year our school likes to celebrate WA Day with a whole school activity.
To celebrate our extraordinary state this year, students are asked to bring a
copy of a photograph that shows somewhere they may have visited in Western
Australia. This must be no bigger than A5 in size. Please ensure that it is a copy, as the
photograph will not be returned. Once collected, photos will
be glued onto a giant WA Day sign, which will be on display for the week.
Please have these returned to school by Tuesday the 5th of June. Thank you for your support!
Genius Hour
Last week, students undertook an inquiry project about different celebrations
and commemorations around the world. Students researched their chosen
celebration/commemoration and presented their information to the class. Well
done, Room 28 on your outstanding presentations!
Room 28's Slipper Day
Last week, Room 28 earned the whole class reward of wearing no shoes in the classroom! As it was a cold rainy day, we decided to turn it into a slipper day! We had cosy toes all day :)
NAPLAN
Well done to Room 28 students who completed their first ever NAPLAN tests in Week 3 of this term. I know you all tried your very best and I am so proud of your hard work.
